About Me

Hello, I'm Nick Barkemeyer, a Certified Nutritionist and Health Coach based in Las Vegas, Nevada. I am dedicated to empowering individuals to achieve their wellness goals through personalized guidance and support. 

Before becoming a health and fitness coach, I spent almost 15 years working in EMS. My passion for health and wellness began while working in the back of an ambulance, seeing so many preventable chronic illnesses. A large number of heart attacks, strokes, diabetes, hypertension, heart failure, and even cancer is preventable, and caused by an unhealthy lifestyle. By the time these patients were in the back of my ambulance, it was too late. I wanted to keep people from needing an ambulance in the first place. So, I decided to switch my focus to prevention, rather than responding to emergencies. 

For many years I was also an elite level distance runner, competing in races from 5K to the marathon. I achieved several podium finishes in high level, professional competitions across the country, both on the road and track. Other athletic endeavors include an undefeated professional kickboxing career, as well as competing in MMA. In my spare time, I was able to earn degrees in both Human Nutrition and Kinesiology. I believe my education, professional athletics career, and my background in healthcare, give me the foundation to help others achieve their wellness goals.

My coaching philosophy is rooted in a holistic approach, combining nutrition, fitness, and mindfulness to create personalized plans that resonate with each client's unique lifestyle and goals. I am committed to providing education, support, and accountability, helping clients make sustainable changes for lasting health.
